cast glass: [10in x 18in]

For me, there is no substance more compelling than glass. A solid liquid—a liquid solid: as a material, it possess an enthralling and captivating allure. Having had an exceptional experience playing with it once before, I revisited my favoured material when called upon to create a three-dimensional letterform for a project.

Slump-cast from GE glass (the same material used in lightbulbs, hence the aquamarine-hue), what began as a sculptural prop for investigating type in the environment, g quickly devolved into something a little more eccentric. Intended merely as an aid in the study of typographic form in space, an oddly anthropomorphic exchange developed between this little letterform and myself.
